Thriving Texas Families

Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) is an educational nonprofit that offers comprehensive services for educators and families, including learning standards and strategies, child development, family health and well-being.

INK provides several services for families such as Head Start, Early Head Start and virtual instruction. INK now also offers its services through the Thriving Texas Families Grant. The goals of this grant are to provide services and achieve the following goals together with our families:

  • 1. Improve healthy pregnancy and childbirth outcomes;
  • 2. Improve child health and development;
  • 3. Assist families in achieving economic self-sufficiency and stability;
  • 4. Increase workforce participation; and
  • 5. Promote marriage and family formation for participating families.

Our mission is to serve and partner with families and communities to provide quality educational resources and opportunities. INK believes in accessibility and advocacy and through our work, we are reaching families across three states and in over a dozen counties!

Partnering with INK guarantees a custom care plan with a responsive and dedicated Navigator to guide you through the process of prenatal care and support, post-pregnancy, health referrals, and provide access to education and job training.

 

FAQs

 

Q: How do I know if I’m eligible to participate in this program?

A: A few ways you can qualify for the program include residing in Karnes or Wilson counties, having a child under the age of 3 and/or if you are currently pregnant. Contact one of our Navigators today and they will quickly help you determine if you qualify for this program.

Q: If I qualify, how many children can I have in the program?

A: Our Navigators are here to service and partner with you and your family. Navigators will assess your intake form and guide you in creating a holistic care plan tailored to your needs and family size. A caretaker with a child under 3 years old may qualify. Any child over the age of 3 will not qualify.

Q: I’m not comfortable sharing my information over the internet. How else can I enroll?

A: You may schedule an in-person meeting with one of our Navigators or a phone call. We are flexible in meeting your needs!

Q: Do I have to sign a contract to enroll?

A: Not at all! We measure our success by your success. Our goal is to have families stay in the program for at least a full year to benefit from the stability and support that our Navigators provide.

Q: Do I have to pay to participate in this program?

A: Absolutely not. At no time will you ever have to pay for our services.
